CRTEWU Arranges a Research Seminar
The Center for Research and Training East West University (CRTEWU) successfully organized its 101st seminar on September 29, 2024, in the CRTEWU seminar room. The title of the seminar was “Characteristic Mode Analysis for the Miniaturization of an Antipodal Vivaldi Antenna for the Application of Microwave Imaging of Brain,” which delved into innovative advancements in antenna technology for biomedical applications.
Dr. Farhana Parveen, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at East West University, served as the esteemed speaker for the seminar. Her presentation focused on the development of a miniaturized antipodal Vivaldi antenna, a crucial component in microwave imaging systems for brain analysis. By employing characteristic mode analysis, Dr. Parveen explored techniques to optimize the antenna's design and enhance its performance for accurate brain imaging.
Dr. Mohammad Ryyan Khan, an Associate Professor in the same department, acted as the discussant for the seminar. Dr. Khan provided valuable insights and engaged in a thought-provoking discussion with Dr. Parveen, further enriching the attendees' understanding of the topic.
The seminar was conducted by Dr. Rafiqul Huda Chaudhury, Chairperson, CRTEWU. Professor Dr. Muhammed Shahriar Haque, Executive Director, CRTEWU, has given the introductory speech on the occasion. Professor Dr. Mohammad Ashik Mosaddik, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Faculty Members, and Officials of CRTEWU of EWU attended the seminar.
